Real-time AI meeting assistant for Google Meet
ChampAI gives you a live transcript and an instant answer during Google Meet calls - on a window screen sharing can't see, and without anything joining your meeting.
How would you design a rate limiter?
I'd use a token bucket. Each client gets a bucket that refills at a fixed rate:
- Refill r tokens a second, up to a burst of b.
- Each request takes one token; an empty bucket returns 429.
- Keep the count and last refill time in Redis.
It absorbs short bursts, which a fixed window cannot
Auto mode: listening continuously - answers come when the speaker pauses.
Using ChampAI on a Google Meet call
- Step 1
Open ChampAI
Start the ChampAI desktop app on your Mac or Windows PC before the call.
- Step 2
Join the Google Meet call
Join as usual in Google Meet in Chrome, Edge, Safari or any other browser. Nothing joins the meeting with you - there is no bot and no extra participant.
- Step 3
Turn on Hide
Switch on Hide before you use Present now. ChampAI stays on your screen and out of what everyone else sees.
- Step 4
Get answers
Press the mic (or spacebar) when a question comes, or use Auto mode to have every question answered as the speaker pauses.
Meet runs in your browser, so there is nothing to install on the Meet side - ChampAI hears the tab's audio like any other sound on your computer.
What you get in every Google Meet call
- A live transcript of the other person as they speak
- Answers that start in about a second, shaped by your notes and documents
- Screenshot questions for anything shared on screen
- Hands-free Auto mode on Pro and Ultra Pro
- Answers in English, Hindi and six more languages
Also works with
- AI meeting assistant for Zoom
- AI meeting assistant for Microsoft Teams
- Webex, Slack huddles, WhatsApp desktop and any app that plays audio
ChampAI for Google Meet: questions
Does ChampAI join my Google Meet meeting?
No. ChampAI runs on your own computer and listens to the audio Google Meet plays, so no bot or extra participant appears in the meeting.
Can others see ChampAI when I share my screen in Google Meet?
Not with Hide mode on. The window is left out of screen sharing and recordings at the operating-system level, so Google Meet never receives it - while you still see it.
Does it work with headphones on a Google Meet call?
Yes. ChampAI listens to your computer's audio rather than the microphone, so it hears the other person whether Google Meet plays through speakers or headphones.
How much does it cost?
Start free with 10 AI and 20 speech credits a month. Pro is $10 a month and Ultra Pro $29.99 a month. In India, pay in rupees by UPI.
